First let me start by saying Merry Christmas, as today is Christmas Eve Day! And Happy Holidays to everyone!
I know it’s been almost a year since I last posted. I sincerely apologize for my absence. Things this past year have been hectic, to say in the least. The baby’s growing, and she is a terror. I love her to death! She is the complete opposite of how my son was as a baby. This one gets into everything! Lol! No exaggeration there. My time comes during naps and late nights. I’ve also taken on the exciting goal of obtaining a degree at the same time my husband is working toward his own degree. So, it’s definitely been crazy.
The past four months have been relaxing, if one could call cramming everything possible into four months before core classes begin “relaxing”. I have a game plan that I’ve been working out this past year in hopes of continuing the Casanova Cowboys series while studying. It’s going to be a challenge, but I’m determined to continue to get a book out a month with Siren. I’m already into book two, and have a couple more semi-plotted out. I’m definitely not a plotter, but cracked down and plotted to make the most of the little time I’ll have over the next 16 months (that’s how long it’ll take to finish school).

Ahh, I’m changing tunes here. Everyone familiar with the BML series knows that dark and grit is pretty common in my romances. Well, with this new CC series (not Canadian Club 🙂 ), you’ll notice a lighter tone. Yes, there’s danger and conflict and a dash of dark grit, but nothing like in BML. This series didn’t call for that. Instead, I’m finding myself craving chicken and dumplings, or scones. Maybe some fresh peaches off Miss Bess’s trees and a nice trail ride on one of Travis’s horses. I can’t wait to share an excerpt with everyone. I should have one in the next month or so for ya!
Wild Mates, Dark Moon Redemption, BML 4
Many of you may have heard that I’ve written the fourth, and final, book of the Blood Moon Legacy series. Jordan’s story has been told, and yes, it was a dark book to write. I wanted to make sure his internal battles were drawn out for the maximum effect, as he wished them to be known. He’s fighting his “beast”, the monster inside him, and it is as much a part of him as his good wolf spirit. He was tortured, and even though it was only a short time, Eva did damage not even Jordan’s mate could have foreseen.
But even through the darkness, there is a HEA, and I’m certain you will be pleased with the outcome 🙂 I may have a spin-off series in the making–this I’m not sure of yet, but it’s a possibility for the future.
As soon as I have a cover for Wild Mates, I’ll be posting it.
I think many people can relate to this. I was two chapters away from completing my vampire novel that I had planned to submit prior to CC, and when I tried pulling up the file, it was gone. Completely and utterly gone. 172 pages of work disappeared, leaving me on the verge of a severe panic attack. After that incident, it took a week to get back on track and focus on the CC series, laying my vampires to rest in their coffins until I could muster up the desire to face that story again. I have salvaged 70 pages that, thankfully, I printed before the file vanished. I plan on finishing this story, again, within the next couple months. That may be the next project after CC 2 is complete.
In addition to the CC series, I’m toying with an idea for a dragon shifter series. I would LOVE to hear some opinions about this! I also hope to plot out a short wintry romance series for 2014. Thinking about heating up a ski lodge in Colorado. How about melting some snow?
My plan is to have the last CC book come out in December of 2013 (yes, I know exactly what the story will be and how it’s going to be written, but can’t do it until I’m through with the rest of the series 🙂 ). At this time, I don’t foresee any spin-offs. I hope you all enjoy this new series!
To everyone during this holiday season: May you all have a happy, healthy, wish-granting, loving Christmas! Don’t eat too many cookies. I’ve already suffered my belly-ache for the season 😉
